I hate seeing people wearing headphones in public.
 

Honestly, it seems to be everywhere at my college.

And it wasn't a gradual change, either. One day, BOOM! Fucking headphones EVERYWHERE. Mostly Beats by Dr Dre or Skull Candy. Only once have I seen a pair of headphones that are not those 2 brands.

Also, how did headphones suddenly gain a huge boost in popularity? Before, barely anyone wore them unless you were/you're an audiophile or a late '90s anime character. Now, everyone has them. Hell, even I'm getting some (though it's for a piano class that can be loud as fuck, plus a possible online language class).

Not saying that this is a bad thing, just a trend that I've seen that, for some reason, showed up out of fucking nowhere.

Does anyone feel the same way? Do you find it annoying when you see people walking around with huge ass headphones in public?

Doesn't get on my nerves. People who wear Beats Audio headphones in public are another story.

Just seems a really inconvenient thing to do really, they can't fit in your pocket so you constantly have to have them on or round your neck, which annoys me after a while.

The only time other people annoy me with these large headphones is when they have them at full blast around their neck so that everybody in their vicinity can hear their terrible music.

This, big ones or in-ears, I laugh when I see anyone with BBD knowing they couldve got a much superior set of sennheisers for a fraction of the price.

I only use the big ones when Im home chilling on the bean bag though listening to Queen, teenage Homer style.

I've worn headphones in public for ages. I must have started the trend. I've always hated earphones. They hurt my ears. I'm also partially deaf, so I like to have a big pair of headphones that can block out background noise, and I can listen to music relatively loud without it disturbing other people.

Yeah, Beats by Dre are so overpriced! I would recommend Pioneer headphones for any bass lovers here.
