http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/15/politi...html?hpt=hp_c1 New York’s new laws will include new measures to keep guns away from mentally disturbed individuals. Under the new law, ammunition magazines would also be restricted to seven bullets, from the current 10 -- owners caught with eight or more bullets in a magazine could face a misdemeanor charge. The law also prohibits Internet sales of assault weapons and in another provision, a therapist who thinks a mental health patient is making a credible threat to use a gun illegally would be required to report the incident to the state. |

Re: Obama plan: Ban assault weapons
This is the beginning of the end if people don't stand up, they're not stopping at "assault weapons" if they believe they can get away with more, they won't stop until we're completely disarmed, and helpless.

Re: Obama plan: Ban assault weapons
A lot of that stuff should've already been done to be honest. Background checks on mental health, I mean.

Re: Obama plan: Ban assault weapons
Background checks for mental health are too complicated, and private. It's not gonna happen, the best they'll ever be able to for now is a background checks for past crimes.
