The idea of putting armed security guards in schools is terrifying.

Sure, at first it will be to prevent another massacre and all that, but once the next tragedy comes along and everybody forgets about that, those big guys in black with the guns are going to be the ones deciding who gets to skip gym class or go home if they aren't feeling well.
