Because the fact that he takes this section so seriously, shows his (erm) dedication. He's speaking up against the system, and, in some people's minds at least, is risking being either shovelled under gravel, or if someone's in a poor mood, is setting himself up for a bold usertitle. That, coupled with the initial point, would crush him.
