I had AOL dial-up when I first started. Someone in the house picks up the phone, you get disconnected. Someone calls, you get disconnected. There was very little video content online and connection speeds were a load of shit. Thankfully I only had to put up with that for about a year before I got broadband.

With my dial up back in the day, nobody could call the house line and you couldn't call anybody, once the Internet was connected the phone was off completely basically.

If somebody wanted to use the Internet and was alone then they'd have to let everybody know they're using the Internet by calling their mobile number cause nobody would be able to ring the home number.

I can understand why people bring up age but it really doesn't always mean anything. I am 29 on Monday and act like a douchebag in rants. Granted, I don't go around acting like a douchebag irl or much at all outside of rants, but, yeah, still, being a certain age doesn't mean you have to act like it all the time.

I still fucking lie in my Betty Boop pajamas in bed watching Batman: The Animated Series. I don't give a fuck. If people want to 'act their age' all the time, k, I would rather have that little kid in me still enjoying life and having fun than being 'proper' 24/7 and thinking about adult situations.

I still manage to watch cartoons, play video games, watch wrestling and maintain a healthy dose of a 10 year relationship and parties with friends while paying all my bills on time.

I got internet at the end of 1998. I remember going on-line right after Kevin Nash beat Goldberg at Starrcade to win the world title & end Goldberg's streak. I thought everyone was going to be talking about the match & the streak ending & stuff. Instead, it was a bunch of people shitting all over both Goldberg, Nash & the WCW writing/booking.

Wrestling was never the same to me again.

Also, the first thing I did when I got internet was download Napster & start stealing songs. Five-ten minutes to download one song. Yeah, buddy!

People that say that being on a message forum when you're in your thirties is odd have obviously never had to work burn before. Lucky.
