If you're the rare person who enjoys Nina Simone, that's good news for you. Here is the bad news, though: your autism.

Somehow I will take that as a compliment.
You are all discussing music taste but so far you are all only saying band names that are oriented to people with low education, "gangsta wannabe's" and basically just noise all around. (and teenage music all around.)
Having music taste has nothing to do with the shit you listen to. Grow up.
You probably can't even fucking play an instrument, rambling band names doesn't make you an expert.

Please do your research before making such stupid claims. It only makes you look stupid when a music nerd like me comes and corrects you.
Mr. Bungle started as a band in 1986 and had their first full length album 1991. Korn didn't have their first full length till 3 years later. How could have Bungle been influenced by Korn if Korn didn't even have a full length till 1994?
Also Korn are a Nu-Metal band whilst Bungle is an avant-garde/experimental band. In fact Bungle are closer to alt rock than metal because their lead singer was also a part of Faith No More, a well known Alt Rock band.
Whilst you are owning that douche who is belittling British music, you also make some ridiculous claims.

Mr. Bungle were writing music years before Korn formed. In fact, Mr. Bungle's s/t debut LP (1991, a year before Korn formed) is seen as a precursor to nu-metal, Korn's genre.
And Korn being influenced by prog? I hope you are trolling, considering nu-metal has its roots in rapcore, which is no less than 5 ocean lengths away from prog. And again, even with Mr. Bungle you don't have a point. Probably should take your own advice.

just because something came before something else doesnt mean they cant take influence form each other ? there are guys who play guitar since the 60s who are influenced by younger players today.... and read back to his line about europeans and taste in music.. then read on from there... its musical snobbery.

actually they have been described as progressive nu-metal . amongst there influences being tool ( progressive metal and pink floyd ( classic mainstream progressive rock )
point is all these and his fave bands have been directly or indirectly influenced by some bands from the uk and his down playing our taste is laughable....

well thats just as retardly insulting as everything that fuckin balloon head is saying too.
One mans stupid noise is anothers musical masterpiece no matter what the genre, you reach an age where you stop giving a single fuck what other people listen to or what they think of what you do.
FWIW I'll happily listen to Nina Simone, Slayer,Mr Bungle, black metal, pure noise, "teenage music", gangsta rap, that wonderful Call Me Maybe song and anything else that tickles my fancy.
Only record I own that Id keep hidden out of guilt is a Gary Glitter vinyl (ignore the nonce part, the producer of those records was genius).
