Most bouncers aren't that tough, they just beat up guys that are smaller or that drunk they can barely throw a punch. I know this because when I go to a new club they look nervous and suck up a little.
Besides that, a lot of the bouncers are trigger happy, actually like fighting I think, saw this one guy at a club, mouthing off to a bouncer but across the street. The bouncer beckoned him to come over, once he did the bouncer walked over and headbutted him in the face (probably) breaking his nose

I remember a pub my older sister used to drink in which was known for trouble and had a legendary bouncer who everyone knew and was afraid of. First time I went there, I was maybe 18 or 19, I was looking forward to seeing this guy as my sis was friendly with him.
Turned out to be about 5 foot 5 and skinnier than I was. Nobody fucked with him though. Never saw him in action, but he must have been a fucking psycho in a row.

Majority of bouncers here are gruff eastern-European types recuited straight from MMA gyms or Krav Maga classes, trigger happy for sure and just aching to try out whatever hold theyve learned last week, most of them complete assholes tbh but the dying pub/club trade has forced them to be a little more customer-friendly recently.
Didnt see the beginings of the incident i described but from what I saw it looked like one of those rare, beautiful moments of JUSTICE where youre just hoping this obnoxious drunk asshole tries to start some shit,trying to act the big man, plus the bouncer clearly had a sick submission game, got his stretchs in without going too overboard, made the guy look a complete bitch.
