Yeah, people have their own reasons for supporting their teams, be it their location, heritage, or whatever else, it's people that desert their teams and latch onto another more successful one that I don't agree with.

Until 2001 being a Boston fan sucked no matter the sport, that has changed quite a bit since then we have won the major championship in each sport, this year sucks to be a Sox fan though, fucking chaos, which in an odd way is comforting, but never wavered and never left early

It just makes it more worth it when it happens.

As a Man Utd fan I've had to put up with the 'glory hunter' teasing for most of my adult life, but the truth is I first became aware of football and was put onto United by my dad in the mid to late 80s, when we were fucking atrocious. It was a good five or six years later that we finally got really good again and then mostly dominated since.

It would have been easy to have supported a Liverpool, Arsenal or even Everton back then, as most of the kids in my school did. There was only one other United fan in my school year when I was proper young, and he was covered in ecthyma.

I am a liverpool supporter but that's because my granddad is from there and got me into them at a very young age.
