Huh, we do?

I stopped watching wrestling about 3-4 months ago. I just left the forum.

If I get back into it, I'll start posting again. Probably around the road to wrestlemania. If your a wrestling fan as long as I am you become pretty good at spotting when things turn to shit for a while, and subsequently when things pick up. They go in cycles.

Honestly though I'm really just waiting for Vinny man to die.

One thing I refuse to do is come here and make threads or constantly bitch about how WWE sucks and how I'll never watch again. I just can't bring myself to say that.

My earliest memory was of wrestling (Sting/Flair vs. Funk/Muta). I have endured a lot of wrestling's shittiest moments. If I have ever tuned out of wrestling, it was due to reasons beyond my control.

I will say this, the reason why certain fans say a certain promotion sucks is because it isn't catered to what they won't. Fact is, there will always be some who complain because not everybody gets what they want. I have expectations from RAW and Impact and when they don't get met, I say to myself "can't wait to next week". I never let it get me down. I have something of each promotion I like, I enjoy the Daniel Bryan storyline and Cena/Punk, I enjoy Aces & 8's. But right now, I'm enjoying PWG a helluva lot more. Only problem is, their shows are far in between, DVD's take some time to release and that is a rather expensive habit. Good thing is, I can be caught up on it and wrestling wise, PWG for the past 2 years has shit on anything WWE or TNA has done. Storyline wise, WWE takes the cake, as TNA has a habit of dropping the ball with storylines.

With all the promotions out there, it's something for everybody. If you're not pleased with any of the promotions, you're not pleased with yourself because you are hindering yourself from being entertained. Think about it, hasn't it become a routine for many on here to complain every Monday night? That tells me they wouldn't recognize when things turn around. Also, with the rise of Aries in TNA and people saying he's better than Rock or even comparing him to Rock, tells me that people are just reaching and really don't believe it themselves. We all are hypocrites 1 way or another but I refuse to be one of those who bashes another person for watching a different promotion. Tonight was the first night in quite some time where I watched an entire episode of Impact, no bathroom breaks, no smoke breaks, no internet, no channel surfing. I was really into it. But, I won't say TNA is better right now because it would be a lie. It's a matter of opinion and overall, TNA makes too many simple mistakes in elevating.

I'm gonna allow the lovely Rose Byrne to ask you this question:

Thanks Rose. Seriously? I don't post in the wrestling sections here anymore, still a devout watcher of Raw (and you know I watch plenty of other wrestling but Raw's what I wanna talk about here), have been since I got back into wrestling in 05, only missed episodes thanks to circumstances outwith my control. However I complained about Raw for pretty much the entirety of that horrific Guest Host era, people who complain, some, not all, don't complain for the sake of it, they complain because they know the company can do better, I watched ever week then because I wanted it to be better, I watched in the hope it would be, so that second it got better again I could be right in there without having to catch up on whatever's happened.

It was a fucking awful and I rightly complained about it, but when they turned a corner early 2010 I noticed and I complimented them on it, to say that people who complain about something constantly wouldn't recognise a change for the better is fucking stupid, sure there are idiots and trolls but the vast amount of people who complain about something like Raw do so because they love Raw, they want to enjoy it but they can't, whether that be because they find Brodus Clay to be a dull fucking character week in week out or they dislike John Cena dominating everything, they'll watch in the hope something will change. I'm proud of sticking through the shit, I complained to get myself through some of it, talk to people with mutual understandings, still do elsewhere.

Sorry for the rant, that little bit just bugged the shit out of me. Now if you'll excuse me I have a bunch of Ebessan to watch.

Only problem is not everybody has the same tastes. Regardless, RAW can appear as epic television to me or you but there will still be people who claim it's horrible, just like those who hated ECW, WCW in 96-99 or the Attitude Era.

I just hear the weirdest arguments as to why somebody doesn't like the entire show and the common answer is Cena. I hear people say Cena turning heel will make the show better. How will turning a guy heel, having him appear for up to 30-45 minutes on a show, improve the other 2+ hours and better the overall product? Some people have this idea of what will make the show better and it might, in their opinion. You also have some who are happy with the way it is. But, who's right and who's wrong for having their own tastes?

Don't get me wrong, I wish WWE would improve but I don't feel it's completely horrible and I will never lose hope because regardless, I look forward to RAW every week. Like I said, people have been accustomed to complaining that if/when things do turn around, they will dissect other aspects of the show to complain about. And all that comes from people having a revolving door of tastes and being somewhat hypocritical. We can never get what we want because honestly, we don't even know what we want.

Might be cliche, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.

In the end WWE is only a freaking TV show, it's not real and the wrestler's are playing characters. If people don't like it than simply don't watch. They don't care if you want to voice an opinion with the WWE "sucking" because they won't listen. The truth is, nobody will be totally satisfied with the WWE, ever.

You portraying yourself as a Cena fan is the same as someone portraying themselves as a Nikki Minaj fan on a Hip-Hop forum.

'Just don't watch it' is not really an answer.

People who are fans of something are naturally going to complain when it sucks. I love wrestling, I want to see it improve, I want to voice my opinion and have my opinion heard, and the WWE should be doing that. The fact that they don't seem to give a fuck about their fans, the ones who keep the show televised by SUPPORTING it, is utter bullshit.

If your sports team sucks, do you just stop watching them, or do you hope they make decisions that will make them better in the future? If you just stop watching them, you were never really a fan to begin with.
