My problem with Cena is that he's in his comfort zone and shows no signs of letting up. Maybe it's corporate pressure, maybe he asked for this character; that's not certain. But come on. You don't become the greatest by starting off with a bang, then coasting along, something he's done for 6 years now. Give it up already.
It matters not what Cena says or does because each of his appearances results in one of two things: him giving a roundabout speech or him telling someone to "come get some". Where is this guy's development? He's like a record needle stuck between two grooves.. only everybody seems content to sit there with their thumbs up their asses. It's extremely pathetic and makes me question the general intelligence of the paying WWE audience.
I LIkEz CENA BECUZ HES A BAD BAD MAN.....LOLZ!!!!!1111222
Cena is pretty great in my opinion. Not taking into account his outdated and stale character he's pretty great in every other department. In ring he's one of the best WWE have hands down. He works the WWE main event style to perfection. He's great at bumping , selling (facial expressions in perticular), his timing is probably his best in ring characteristic. He really knows how to structure a match and his timing of moves is always spot on. Although his execution of these moves is often questionable.
My major complaints like many others would be his stale character and persona. Cena's not entirely responsible for this off course. The WWE is of course in a PG era so why have him appeal to many outside of the PG demographic? If it's not broken don't fix it. He's a merch machine because of who he appeals to and this is down to his " superman" persona. I hate it but it's not changing anytime soon. When he has showed a more edgier character like in the Rock feud he was that bit more tolerable.
All in all I think he's a great worker and a good promo but other than that he's pretty much the same old boring shit.
Wow , only noticed this was in the rants. A serious post in the rants.
