In case you didn't notice, we're talking about Cena in general.

So I can't really say. He an O.K. wrestler-per say, a good promo cutter when he doesn't have corny material, his music (which he hasn't made in 7 years now) was actually really cool. Good rap.

Re: Question For John Cena Fans

Why do people "hate" John Cena other than the same outdated reasons that are so 2005? Anyway, I don't have a problem with him. He's hit or miss, can be a bit corny at times though. His character was much much MUCH better years ago, but that's what happens when you become the top guy. WWE waters their character down.

Re: Question For John Cena Fans

I can't say I'm a fan of Cena's character but when he's wrestling at his absolute peak, he is a great worker and great on the mic. I'm a fan of Cena the performer.

His character is a whole different story. He's outdated, stale and corny. I can't see how a grown man can root for Cena the character.

What I'm trying to say is hate the man for his character if you must, but you really can't deny the fact all the classics he's had over the years. You can't be carried to some of the matches Cena has had (vs Umaga, vs Punk, vs Lesnar etc.)

Lol, yeah right... 2005, 2010 or 2012 - it's same old shit every time. If Cena nowadays entertains you, then I have no words. He's in ranks right there with Teletubbies.

No doubt about it, and no one can't take it away from him, but that's a whole other story.

Good OP. I dont get it either. There is nothing appealing about him whatsoever.

People say he works hard. The local bus boy in my area has down syndorme. He works hard, but Dyson's buses sure as fuck isn't going to make him the company CEO any time soon.

In 2005 he was the greatest thing around. His rapping gimmick before that was amazing. If you would take off your 2012 Cena hater shades you would see that. Until like 2009 Cena was tolerable, after that they completely stopped caring about his character development and relied on the same old same old. That's why he's stale today, because he's the same guy he was a year ago, 2 years ago or 3 years ago, without anything added to that character. Lack of character development and over-exposure easily turned all of his fans from '04 or '06 or '07 into haters.

Re: Question For John Cena Fans

I think Cena is a pretty good wrestler. He is not the bad wrestler people make him out to be. That said, his character is very corny. Cena is great when he is serious but when he tries to be funny, he is brutal. Often time he tries to be funny in the wrong places in certain angles.
