Re: American Politics
I'd buy Iran being a threat over North Korea any day of the week. North Korea was never a threat to the United States. If they wanted to bomb either the United States of South Korea they would have done so with Kim Jong Il on his deathbed. The leaders of these nations aren't stupid. They know they'll be wiped off the face of the earth the second they launch a nuclear missile. If Jong Il didn't launch a missile while on his deathbed (when he had nothing to lose since he was, you know, DYING) he never would have.
The reason I said that I would buy Iran as being a threat over North Korea is just due to the fact that their government is basically a theocracy. I'll admit that I'm pretty ignorant in regards to what Muslims believe and what not but I think the only reason they're believed to be a threat is the 12th Imam prophecy. I'd greatly appreciate if someone can fill me in on what the 12th Imam prophecy really is since like I said, I'm ignorant in regards to knowing what Muslims believe. At the end of the day though, Iran's leaders aren't stupid people. They know that they'll be wiped off the face of the earth the second they launch a nuclear missile. In any case, the United States needs to distance itself from Israel.
In regards to Ron Paul, I'd say he did pretty well in getting his message out despite the media basically ignoring him. I fully believe that if the media gave him the same attention they gave people like Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich that he would have given Romney a run for his money during the primaries. I believe that most people deep down are Libertarians and they just don't know it. The thing with Paul is that his message, while fantastic, is easy to distort into something that scares people. He would have the best shot at beating Obama in the general election had he gotten the same exposure that the other three Republican candidates had received. I'm not saying he would win but he would have more of a shot than Romney. Romney has ZERO shot at beating Obama and the Republicans are either too stupid to realize that or they're intentionally throwing the election.
Hell, Ron Paul became popular and the mainstream media rarely mentioned him. Imagine what he could do if they did cover him and covered him fairly?
