Longevity. Jay has been doing his thing for nearly twenty years already. And the thing is, he can still put out great music. Watch The Throne was a great album. He's had the classics such as Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. He is going to be around Hip Hop forever, better get used to it. Should've gotten used to it since 96.

People saying Jay Z isn't good with lyrics seriously must not have listened to Reasonable Doubt or other early Jay stuff, dude was on fire like people have said from 96 - 03.

On the subject of Eminem, he's fucking awful now. He still writes some great lyrics, but when the songs are really fucking bad it doesn't matter.

Off topic but holy shit, No Vaseline by Ice Cube is hands down the greatest diss track of all time. Eazy E was great but he had all his raps written by Cube anyway.

lolmao, eminem is rated ahead of jay z and nas in this thread. jay z is overrated? are you fucking kidding me? reasonable doubt and the blueprint are far better albums than anything eminem has ever produced. Nas is leagues above eminem as well, illmatic destroys eminem's entire career in comparison. not sure when eminem became a top 10 rapper ever let alone top 5. Anyway, jay-z is far from overrated.
