It kind of seems like people nowadays can't just stand few minutes without using their phones.
On the street, waiting on the line, workplace, basically everywhere, people really have no patience to just stay patiently for just few minutes.
I have phone, but it's not smartphone and just old-fashioned phone and only use it when really needed.
And I actually have patience to wait for something without touching the phone.

I seriously don't get why people nowadays have to check their phones every minute.
On the workplace, sometimes I see people using phone when they are supposed to be working while other workers are working, ...and on one occasion even saw two people fighting because one guy is always on the phone and doesn't do work.
And I can actually focus on something very well because I don't check my phone very minute.

Do people really lack the patience nowadays or what?

If I'm talking to somebody and I take my phone out while they're talking, obviously whatever I'm checking on my phone is more interesting than what the person I'm talking to is saying.

It does get annoying. Shit, I don't even have a cell phone and my 10 year old neighbour has a cell phone and just recently got a 500 dollar iPad. To her credit she saved up birthday and Christmas money since last year and bought it herself, but still. Makes me feel like a loser seeing every little kid on the street having a cell phone and I can't even afford one. But then I just see my sister or mother ignore people around them while they text constantly and I feel a bit better. At least I can carry a conversation with someone and not rudely stare into a phone while mumbling "uh-huh...mhmm..."
