It's very in thing to do when phones are like small computers these days.

Probably far more annoying is when someone is listening to music with but you can hear right through it.

I can't stand cell phones and will never own one. I can't tell you how often I have to restrain myself from smashing my fiance's cell. The bitch is always on the thing, it's annoying. I hid it on her once to see what would happen and she absolutely lost her shit. Like, nuclear meltdown. And that was before she knew I had it in my pocket. I did it as an experiment and she failed miserably. She legit didn't talk to me until the next day (which was fine by me, but ridiculous either way) and even then she was still mad at me. All because she didn't have her precious phone for about 10 mins.

And that's just the BS I have to deal with on her part. Then you get the assholes who are texting and driving, which is always nice (I always write down their plate # and report them). Then you get the idiots who are walking and texting and run into shit or randomly stop and you run into them and they freak out like it's your fault (Toronto is actually making texting and walking illegal next year). Overall, I fucking hate cell phones and wish they would all simultaneously turn off all at once so I could watch everyone freak out.

And on top of all that, they are expensive as fuck. Expensive to buy, expensive every month. And the funny thing is, people rarely use them for phone calls. No, people text instead (one of the worst inventions ever). Yes, let's write each other....on our fucking phones. That makes total sense. Texting is fucking stupid. I'm so tired of sitting there, trying to have dinner and every 30 seconds my fiance has to stop so she can answer some fucking text.

I don't have a working phone, dont use facebook, myspace or twitter.
Instead in my spare time I like to read, jerk off, go to the gym, jerk off, watch a movie, play xbox, jerk off, watch wrestling, jerk off and last but certainly not least, jerk off.

My phone is my camera and my computer. Ofc, I have a laptop, but very rarely boot it up (only for uni work or stuff that is impractical to do on a 4inch screen). But anything like google, facebook, taking pictures, emailing, texting, gaming is FAR quicker on my phone than on my laptop. After uni, I'll have little use for a computer at all and will just use internet cafes for anything I can't do on my phone.

That's not to say, however, that I'm lacking manners. While I take my phone with me wherever I go, I would never stop mid-convo to look at it. Always on silent/vibrate. If ever I have to stop to take a call/message, then I step to the side so as not to inconvenience anyone around me.

Having a phone and having basic manners need not be mutually exclusive!
