Rants shouldn't be just for the sake of ranting (or, like you said, for the sake of being ape-shit crazy) but, you know, they should be about your dislike/annoyance with something.

It just had an oldschool feel. It may have lacked the basis rants usually have, but still was presented way better than Red Rep Wars.
