I'm a black belt in judo...I learned it when I was younger. I am also a decent boxer and am teaching my son both these skills now.

With bullies, fighting was a last resort, when all else failed. And when it failed, my dad told me to kick ass. The reason it's not done in school anymore is because parents feel they can sue the schools if they feel their child is being threatened, even if their child is being a bully. A couple of times in school, I took the first shot against a bully and put an end to it real quick.

My freshman year in high school, I had some kid try to stuff me into my locker. A couple of shots and then choking him out and he never messed with me again.

Believe it or not, I'm a very passive person normally and fighting would be a last resort for me as well. Knowing some BJJ is a great confidence builder when you know there is a good chance the other guy has no idea what he's doing and you can take him down and cut through him like butter.

I would absolutely love to learn Judo, though. I've looked into it but it's expensive and I already train BJJ and sparingly (no pun intended) train kick boxing now as well when I can fit it in, which usually is a few times per month. That and weed is expensive, so I need a lot of money for that as well. But I will learn Judo one day, for sure. It's on the Bucket List.

Fight back or at least act like you're batshit crazy. You could be the biggest pussy in the world, but nobody is going to fuck with the guy banging his head of a locker screaming "FEED! ME! MORE!".

I was too much of a pacifist in school for my liking. I wanted to bad to beat the holy hell out of some people that just constantly messed with me, but I was always told it wasn't worth it. But yah... high school ends and once you hit university (at least for me) people don't bother with immature shit like that anymore.

I'm sick of hearing about suicides related to bullying. Makes me disgusted.

Anything to stop that would be great.

I love how this whole "anti-bullying" shit has just came up like it's a NEW problem. Bullying has been arround FOREVER and it will ALWAYS be around! It will NOT go away. Ever. At all. That's just the way it is.
