I'm dont know of the maths behind it, but I'm sure it operates a similar system.

Your rep power starts at 1/-1, you get an additional point for every 1500 posts, every 2500 points of rep you have and every year you've been on the site.

So for example I've got 8,300 posts so that's like 5 points, 17,000 rep so that's like 7 points, I've been here for 6 and a half years so that's another 6 points so my rep power would be something like 19/-9 (negative rep power is half your positive).

There are some people on the site that have a ridiculous amount of rep because of an unlimited rep weekend that happened a while back so their rep is at like a few hundred thousand so they can take people way down (like Headliner).

Seb used to go crazy on them things and rep people like 50 times.

I'm pretty sure than an admin can reset your rep Swagg.

i remember headliner going through who had the most rep not that long back. iirc seabs, seb, roman king, me and platt have the top 5. and seeing as i red repped the OP then that certainly helps knock people down/up as the case may be.
