Wrestling fans are miserable fuckers and occasionally sociopaths. I will never be able to comprehend how ADULTS can care so much about who wins or loses a match in a ~fake~ sport. I just don't get why people care so much.

Fake or not, it's like seeing your favourite character killed off of a show. You care what happens because you like them. No different than seeing your favorite wrestler lose a match.

The hyper-criticism and oh-so-serious aspect of wrestling fans has been around since the beginning though, its just something about that demographic. Yeah after RAW is hilarious, it's impossible to mod. There's a RAW discussion thread but 'Cena needs to be heel' warrants a thread apparantely, even though that thread has been done 6 times this week already.

Oh, fucking this. Actually letting yourself enjoy the antics of someone like Santino or Heath Slater or Brodus Clay instead of sitting in front of your TV/laptop pouting and crying about whatever happened to the days of ~serious wrestling~ is the best. The best wrestling eras were built on nonsense and pure fun- Attitude, Hogan's era, etc. People seem to forget that. Serious and intense feuds and matches can be great, but having some genuine wacky and fun stuff mixed in there makes it even better. That's what wrestling is.

I can't really give a proper answer because, in Piper's days, I used to legit rage whenever he lost, with the whole WHAT THE FUCK, THIS IS BULLSHIT, FUCK THIS MOTHERFUCKER TO HELL. Granted, I was younger, but I think I would still have the same rage if he still wrestled now <.<

I dunno, you just like to see your guys do well and it gets disappointing when they don't. I get a bit of rage whenever I see Ziggler get beat by that fat, useless, Brodus Clay, because I like Ziggler, hate Clay, and have no idea what Vince sees in that fucking whale.

It's like when I cried because Neflite died on Sailor Moon. He was a hot piece of paper and I was devastated. I was also 13 but I was still sad that a piece of paper died. You get so caught up in the show, you feel it is a part of you.

Amen. Don't get the hate for Brodus Clay or Santino. Attitude Era had its fair share of comedic characters, as every era has.
