You can't blame 4chan as a website for posting any type of CP, and you can't "shut it down" because of a few bad apples. It's completely user generated. They have a report system in place and most users report threads that may contain any type of illegal content. Mods get rid of it quickly and the people that post it are banned, and I'd wager a guess that a lot of the offenders are reported to the FBI. If the content is coming from a United States ISP then that shit is gonna be looked into obviously.

This thread will turn into a blind bashing of 4chan from people that "have only visited a few times", and I mean I'm okay with that. Whatever. I like it. I visit /sp/, /fit/ and /v/ almost daily. It's very humorous.

The fact that CP is posted there should really be enough to form an opinion on the site.

Lets shut the motherfucker down. CP is posted on a whim and very, very rarely. It's not like they have threads devoted to the exploitation of children.

But while we're shutting down websites that have CP we should also probably shut down this site too as I'm sure at one point in time some moron posted some CP here.

You remember when megaupload was shutdown and a bunch of government sites were fucked with and shut down? Yeah, it would a million times worse if they did it to 4chan.

It's not the fact that it was posted there once and it was removed, it's the fact that it's constantly been posted.
