I don't understand why Jesus is booking America this way
By the mid-late 1700's Great Britain's character was stale. They were getting shoved down our throats, getting mega push after mega push and title reigns galore. Ratings were down and something new was obviously needed. Even though America was super green and a lot of people said they weren't ready ... It was time for The United States to get a push.
It was a pretty standard underdog beats a evil super villain feud. England beats us down a few times , had a few sneak attacks but America obviously ends up winning it's 1st title. It was a clean pin in the center of the ring. This sent America into superstardom. We were super over , getting pops in every arena and things were good.
The whole Civil War angle was meh IMO , but a lot of people loved it. People eat up the whole tag teams turning on each other (Rockers , Batista-Rey etcetc). I just always liked to see the North and South together. They worked well off each other. It was booked pretty decent and booked to where they could end up reunited (Their reunion is still one of the highest rated segments all time). The whole slave thing got stale and never really got over. So the feud was needed to get that out of the way.
Then came America's mega push and what made them a house hold name. Probably the greatest booked feuds ever IMO. Jesus spent years building a mega heel ....Hitler. His reign of destruction can't be rivaled by anyone. Kane's original heel run , NWO , and even Vince as the big bad boss was NOTHING compared to Hitler's heel run. It's just sad that a lot of kids don't know about how great of a heel he was.
Putting America over was MAJOR. It also gave America the chance to debut it's new finisher "The Atomic Bomb" (pretty much a modified suplex where you drop a bomb out of a plane)
I still remember the pop at the end of the 3 count. It was the original Hogan slamming Andre.
But with Hitler out of the picture there was no real heel to feud with. A lot of people think that maybe the feud should of lasted long but that's debatable. Ratings slowly dropped and it hurt the business as a whole. It doesn't matter how over your face is if he doesn't have a credible heel to beat.
By Vietnam America was having a lot of back problems , smarks were starting to bitch and moan about it's long title reigns and being booked like a super power. So America dropped the belt to a transitional champ and took some time off.
The early 90's and the Desert Storm angle brought America back to the ring. IMO the feud could of been better and wasn't not that exciting. With that said it was nice to see America competing and entertaining again.
That brings us to now. IDK what the fuck is going on.
The 9-11 angle was severally botched. Who the fuck were we feuding with??? Iran? Iraq? Afghanistan? Was it an inside job?
It just got confusing and hard to follow.
Now America seems to be turning on itself with all the banning off online poker , all the sopa BS , occupy wall street shit , the economy. It's like they're trying to write in all this new stuff to get America over to a younger generation. ITS NOT WORKING.
America's starting to get booed in a lot of place. It's turning into Hogan pre heel turn and Cena now. So there's one thing that can save us

It wouldn't be that hard to book and a lot of people don't like us anyway. Give them what they want. We have the look , all the weapons and tools to be a fantastic heel.
I'd book it like this ....
Attack Canada from behind after a tag match. Canada would challenge us , and then we'd beat them in a squash match.
Go through and squash a few more smaller counties (obviously win most of them dirty to gain heat).
The only issue is that there's not another face really creditable enough to challenge us. Maybe Russia but they're more of a tweener. I guess if you turn them full out face it could work. China is obviously heel and we could team up with them. So the only real option is to take on all of NATO.
The big blow off match could be NATO vs America, China and N Korea at Survivor Series
Classic elimination style , but no DQ.
I just know I'm sick of the way things are now. I've been watching less and less and I'm about to tune out completely if there aren't some new fresh angles.
