Yes i know that Jupes, but you spend more time in stages 4 and 5 early on during your sleep cycle and more time in REM, stage 2 and 3 later on in the night. Hence why if you've been to sleep for a few hours and then get woken up while in those deeper stages of sleep you're a bit of a mess and it takes time for you brain to click into gear as opposed to when you get woken up during a dream (usualy REM sleep) and you're pretty alert.
also most textbooks describe it as rem, then stage 1 through to 4.
