Nah, it's the War on "Terrorism" no matter if it's in Afghanistan or Libya.
Libya was more of a civil war/coup d'etat, with the UN giving a helping hand to the rebels. Sarkozy and Cameron were in Libya yesterday and greeted like heros by the general public, not sure Bush and Blair would've got the same response in Iraq or Afghanistan. It's something we should be proud that our countries helped with.
Meh, it's better to keep the guys employed overseas than having them at home unemployed or pushing other people to unemployed, plus all the industry jobs that support the war effort that would be cut otherwise. War drives employment in times of unemployment, most government expenditure does.

OP repped. I am in the Navy, deployed to Djibouti, Africa, and we don't give 2 fucks (as much as the civilians do) about it. We have a ceremony on the day of it for about an hour, and that's it. So, yeah, fuck people who are jut drawing money on over 9/11 or trying to prove their love for the US.
