He's not even in Shawn Michaels' league and Kurt Angle's problem is that he tries too much. Every match to him is a fucking Wrestlemania main event.

Like I said, watch his matches from 2007 and come back to me and say that he wasn't a consistent worker back then. Now a days he doesn't have as many great matches because he doesn't need to have them--he has nothing to prove. Plus, he's had a fuck load of injuries throughout his career and going 100% in every match would be counter-productive.

I don't think he has "nothing to prove". I think he's gotten lazier, (oh just let me be beaten up for 90% of the match and I'll pull out a win) although injuries obviously play a factor. Laziness explains the matches against Truth and Miz. When he's putting in effort, he'll put in better matches like against Punk and Mysterio.

Oh c'mon, he was always a shit wrestler. Guy had maybe 3 memorable matches in his entire career for fuck's sake. 99% of his matches are complete and utter garbage, who in the world would even try to dispute that. And saying he doesn't need to have great matches is just retarded, he's a face of the company for fuck's sake, it's his responsability to deliver every single time and not when he tries, it this really even remotely debatable?

This isn't Ring of Honor--the face of the company isn't supposed to deliver great matches every night. Their responsibility is to make the company money. Hulk Hogan never put on great matches every night and neither did Stone Cold. John Cena is 34 years old and has had numerous injuries throughout his career and has had no time off since 2008. You really expect him to have great matches every month? Like me and starship have said above; when he wants to have a good match he can have one. Thing is he doesn't need to have great matches every night and he's smart by not going all out every night at his age.

But saying Cena is a shit worker is ignorant. He's had so many good to great matches in the past that it's almost indisputable that he's at least "good".
