Are you some sort of NRA member?
Guns are not beneficial in any way. The only arguement pro-gun enthusiasts have got going for them is that it's a Constitutional right.
What kind of society puts common sense to one side and allows masacres such as Columbine and Virginia Tech to take place?
Many millions of Americans are completely oblivious to the fact that firearms should not be incorporated into society and would rather campaign over their failed sense of patriotism.
I know, The USA is a proud nation; believe me; I've never met an American who would just say they're from the USA, they'll give; town, city, state...etc
And I think it's great that in 2011, there is still an enormous sense of patriotism in the country.
However; in issues such as keeping firearms in society, it seems patriotism cost common sense.
I was more annoyed with the, "Fuck your Constitution" part of the post. The part about guns not so much. Admittedly the founder fathers didn't really have the hindsight to know what kind of guns would be developed in the future or I don't think they would have been totally for the right to bear arms.
The second Amendment is also more about maintaining a militia, which we don't do any more as out military has essentially been nationalized (something that would probably anger the founder fathers as well). The idea was that if everyone was armed we would quickly be able to go to arms in a time of war. Well know that we can just shoot missiles at people the militia really isn't needed.
But the overly American side of me has to say that I don't like the idea of police and the government having guns and not letting people have the same guns. It basically puts us even more at the mercy of the government so I can totally see, and even agree at times, with people like the NRA.
How about when he said that he was "said" that she died?
Apparently, this guy never heard of spellcheck.
"Said" is a word so it wouldn't appear as a mistake in spellcheck... Good try though.
