The sad thing is, the only time the Stadium of Light has been "Sold Out" was for the Liverpool game last season "Apparently". We couldn't even sell out for a derby, man even Take That got more fans in that Sunderland/Newcastle.

I admit most of our fanbase are cynical and one game if we win, they want to fuck the players it seems. However, when we lose (Which is always in the second half of the season ) they want the team to die and fuck off home.

I Don't attend as many games now because for one i have a weekend job and the other is that Niall Quinn is now moneybags and jacks the prices up on tickets, when we live in the North and he must realise that we don't live in London and are not a big club the twat.

We don't average 40,000 there was a fuck load of empty seats last season, and i hardly see the premier concourse sold-out like.....in ever.

Everyone will see how "Great" our support is when we drop down into the championship (in the future) and we'll be averaging 20,000 - 30,000 and the only time we sell out is if its a match top get us promoted and then starts the "Sunderland are great, we're going to beat the Mags next season"...¬¬

Hell Sunderland even had every ticket as a quid before for one match and it didn't sell out that's how great some support is.

As for Stoke, you are officially known as "Sunderland Reserves". Enjoy Kenners & Deano i miss them for our club.

Yeah, the concourse never sells out, except for Newcastle games, or that time we won the championship and had that celebration. We still easily got over 30,000 in the championship though.
As for our fans, some are great, but I've got the most bi-polar two sat behind me. They called Bardsley of all people a liability on the left for more than half the season...

You miss Deano!? really? He was awful to me. I miss Lorik, even if he was booked a scary amount of times he was a hell of a player.

Jones and Deano are quality, we'll swap you Collins back for Gyan though. Hard to believe Collins was your player of the year the year he signed for us.

Lorik was horrendous, he couldn't time his tackles for shit. Remember that game against Chelsea where Bruce played him in defense? yeah....see how that turned out.

Mate, the concourse has never been sold out for a Derby never. As for those two fans what the actual fuck, Bardo was our best player last season. Don't see why people though Henderson was any good his arse fell-out for both Tyne-Wear derbies....and his a Sunderland born and bred lad.

Its not hard to be player of the year for us you just have to know how to pass, shoot and score basically (Which come to think of it, Collins never did).

Yeah about Gyan, £35 million plus Collins then we're talking.

In all my time watching Jordan I never saw why anyone thought he should be in the centre, he was fucking awful there. He's at his best on the right, since he's not afraid to take a player on (Elmohamady). And Lorik was one of my favourites, he was late sometimes, but he was a hell of a motivator, and when he won something, you just felt the team built from him, Cattermole is half the player he was when it was him and Lorik in the middle, even if they offered nothing going forwards.

Bardo's the one man who actually shows up for the derbies. Our only hope of beating the mags at this rate is him winning the ball from their new lad, going on a dazzling run and scoring from 30 yards out. Twice. That or kicking the ball of Gyan again and hoping it can go in.
I swear concourse was sold out for the mags game, but I sat in the NE, so my view of some of it's restricted I guess.

And tomkim, give us Danny back then, but fuck off about Gyan especially for the 10 million the Mirror quoted, fucking idiots.

And we only get shit cup game crowds because nobody can be arsed to go watch our second team play the likes of huddersfield at full ticket price. We should just do what we did vs your lot years ago and charge 2 quid for adults and 1 quid for kids. 47,000 on a wednesday night. That was my first time seeing RvP too, ripped us to shreds...
Yeah, I would rather put ticket prices really low and have a full stadium rather than charging full price and only a few thousand showing up which probably wouldn't even make as much money as a full stadium of cheap tickets would.

Liverpool fans are supposed to be the best in the country and always behind their team, but from first hand experience I can tell you that fans at Anfield, like those at every other ground in the country, only sing when they're winning. Needless to say until Kenny started turning things around there wasn't too many Scousers showing off the red shirt in the city centre.

Tickets for all Liverpool home games, no matter what competition (minus Everton, Man Utd, etc.) go on general sale and most of the time you can go to the box office at Anfield or the Liverpool shop in the city centre and buy tickets on the day of the match. This would never be possible at Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea or Spurs.

Sorry but this is just crazy. I am a realistic fan who doesn't worship the ground Rafa walks on but putting the blame on him is retarded.

Hicks and Gillett raped our club, we were forced to make a NET PROFIT 5 transfer windows in a row, of course your team is gonna get weaker when you're forced to make a fucking profit!

I am a match going red, i mainly go to away games these days because home games end up being too expensive all the time and I can't afford it/have work. The atmosphere can be quite poor sometimes but really, playing Wigan at 12pm on a sunday or west ham at 8pm on a monday can you blame us?

Liverpool get the repuytation for the best fans in the country,
and I honestly believe we are. Look at what we did with the previous owners, many people (including me) protested and protested, marches through Liverpool, boycotting
companies involved with Hicks and Gillett and doing anything
to make their life a living hell,
to the point of being labelled "Internet Terrorists"
by Tom Hicks and causing his son to break down and end up leaving.

Look at the apathy of some other fan bases being hurt by poor ownership, you don't see that sort of protesting.

Also, Liverpool ARE the loudest fans in the premiership. Source:

Considering our stadium is only 45,000 capacity, that is incredible.
