Figureheads like Harold Camping are frustrating for non-radical Christians. The dolts like him are the only ones people ever hear about, so it's easy to make stereotypes against Christians, because he just fits the bill. Same for other cult groups that like to tell everyone they're going to hell and such. Are they Christians? Well, I suppose they can call themselves that. Do they represent Christians? Not a chance. I'm sorry, but when I can go downtown and see people holding up signs saying that good Christian men don't have long hair, and any man that does have long hair is doomed to hell, I'm not going to associate myself with them.
Harold Camping is nothing more than the figurehead of another cult fascination. He's not a Christian leader.
