Re: Dear Harold Camping,

It's impossible to know who wrote the Bible, the Old Testament being the most enigmatic. It's safe to say that both Testaments were written over centuries by various authors.

Re: Dear Harold Camping,

This is exactly why religious people should go back to only pretending to read their scripture.

Re: Dear Harold Camping,

He is a con artist, but hell, people are gonna be idiots, and they are gonna give their hard earned money to con artist, if it wasn't him it would be someone else, i am not saying he shouldn't go to jail, he should, but it's not really anything that is gonna be stopped. There are people who are just lost and too easy to influence, only if you have common sense you wont do stuff like that, and sadly you can't teach that, so there are gonna be People fucked over until it's really the end of the World. Scum and the People who buy Scum, that's the World.

For God crushes the wicked

I love the book of Ezekiel, that's a DMT trip if ever there was one.

This "prophet", and I use that term loosely, claimed he got this prophesy from the bible. Well humans wrote the bible so how would they know anything about the end of the world? It just doesn't make sense to me why people would fall for this end of the world crap.

Back to the Camping's liability. In a criminal case for it to be fraud the prosecution would have to prove that Camping knew this wouldn't happen. And since the money was freely donated I just don't know how they can nail him with it.

Now a civil cause would be different in alot of ways. The biggest difference is the jury wouldn't have to be unanimous for the prosecution to get a victory...and that's HUGE.

Well a lot of people believe that god told people what to write in the bible so it is his words in there. I guess that is why some people might have believed this guy.

Re: Dear Harold Camping,

Should have stayed on the safe side and hired Scott Steiner to do the math for him.

Re: Dear Harold Camping,

Figureheads like Harold Camping are frustrating for non-radical Christians. The dolts like him are the only ones people ever hear about, so it's easy to make stereotypes against Christians, because he just fits the bill. Same for other cult groups that like to tell everyone they're going to hell and such. Are they Christians? Well, I suppose they can call themselves that. Do they represent Christians? Not a chance. I'm sorry, but when I can go downtown and see people holding up signs saying that good Christian men don't have long hair, and any man that does have long hair is doomed to hell, I'm not going to associate myself with them.

Harold Camping is nothing more than the figurehead of another cult fascination. He's not a Christian leader.
