England gets one upped on everything, it's just their default setting. I figured they would be used to it by now.

America - We took care of business and caught and Killed one of the most dangerous men in the world. What the fuck did you do?
United Kingdom - We had a wedding!

oh and Royal Families has no place in 2011. We have a royal family, ive been a guard there, but I still think we should strip all the power they have. They are no more then a tourist attraction. Sure they can still be around but shouldnt have power whatsoever.

I would be beyond pissed if my tax dollars funded that stupid wedding so Bugs Bunny could dress up like fucking Captain Crunch and marry literally the most average, generic looking chick of all time.

Arg the wedding, what a load of tripe that was.

As for this Bin Laden crap all he's done for 10 years is sit in caves, I'm sure he's not the only one that can map out plans for terrorist attacks.

Despite that I can see why it's a success, just the going over the top is a little too much (And trust me so was the Royal Wedding, oh and RAWs 2 hour blowjob for The Rock)

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing

Fuck off OP, ALOT of people care very little for the royal family and they dont have any real power because they will never use it.
Yes the Queen can do anything she wants and no one will or can question it but she wont and nor will any king or queen.

The americans have never been attacked on their own soil, they havent been invaded, they dont know fear from attacks every day. England got the " stiff upper lip " from hundreds of years of wars and being bombed all year year after year in WW2.

9/11 shocked and scared the shit out of americans, they started building bunkers and getting supplies like it was the end of the world...overreacting maybe....doing something out of fear..they were right to do so.

If they want to celebrate and boost moral for the country and unite themselves, they can do it. dont compare this to a bloody wedding

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing

OP I have a little thing to tell you.

We could've NOT caught Osama and you know what we would've been doing?

That's right.. partying it up, drinking beers, sitting around the American flag. Because this is AMERICA! and that's what we do.

Bin Laden getting killed just means we had a reason to do so.

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing

I was watching TV on DVR when the news broke. Actually found out because of Twitter. Turned the news on and thought, "Cool." Then went back to what I was watching. My brother and I texted about it and that was it. It wasn't until the next day where I saw unity and Patriotism that I hadn't seen in 9 1/2 years. I was happy about that. I didn't celebrate, but I am damn sure not going to mourn. The unity and Patriotism will be short lived, I know.. We know the fighting isn't over. We know this can and likely will lead to retaliation. But I am not embarrassed by how we reacted. I am embarrassed by how this country got so bat shit crazy over the Royal Wedding. 235 yrs of independence has given us the right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the right to not give a shit about 2 figure heads (at best) getting married. I wish them the best, I do. But why we cared so much, I don't know.

That sounds more like religion than actual power or say.

Freudian slip?

Of course that's just my opinion,

I could be wrong.

(But I'm not)

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing

Sunday night, my wife and I were watching "In Plain Sight" and "Sunday Night Baseball" at the same time. (Thank God for picture-in-picture). At the commercial break for her show I flip baseball to the main screen and just then catch the fans in Citizen's Bank Park chanting USA! USA! USA! Just then Shulman announces that ABC News is reporting OBL is dead. No, I didn't run out and celebrate, but I definitely had a big smile on my face and a "Hot Damn! We got him!" moment. I am celebrating on the inside a mass murderer got his finally.

What annoys me more than anything else are a lot of hypocrites who condemn us for celebrating at our military academies, the White House, Ground Zero, etc...yet say nothing when they see footage of Arabs and Muslims marching in the streets while screaming "Death to America!" and burning American, Israeli, and British flags.
