Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing
A lot of ignorance in this thread. A lot of it from the OP.
Bin Laden's death was justice. Sounds like the American's had no intention of taking him alive, but who can blame them. People have every right to celebrate, both from America and the rest of the world. Obama did good.

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing
I didn't go in the streets and wave flags and yell USA but I was pleased with the news and proud of the military and Obama for getting the job done. It was far more important than a wedding that cost tax payers 68 million dollars.

He was let out on compassionate grounds due to cancer, but why should this mass murderer have been shown compassion? What's even worse is he supposedly had months to live yet 2 years on he's still alive and kicking.
Great job Scotland.

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing
I know you are not comparing a wedding to the death of a terroist who killed people all over the world. That also goes for England as well. Why are you celebrating?
It's never good to celebrate death, never. But when someone kills someone with NO reason and remorse don't be surprise when someone says "Good I'm glad that person is dead". It 'aint right, but people will say it. You have know clue what people who have suffered due to this man's actions. So for you to say it's dumb for someone cheering that their loveones deaths are avenged is wrong. And for you to say a wedding is more important is stupid. He killed people, so he got killed. What goes around comes around.

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing
And how is it embarassing to you? As you stated YOUR NOT EVEN AMERICAN?
What if the royals got killed and planes flew in their mantion. How you feel if you found out that the man that did it was now dead? How about that?

Re: The celebrations in America about Bin Laden are embarrassing
I agree, Americans act as if they have single handedly stopped terrorism, but they have only killed one man, Al-Queda (or however you spell it) will just get a new leader and pretty much nothing will change. I think most of the celebrations are more to do with relief because the the Americans have actually managed to accomplish one of their goals (which rarely happens), and it hasn't all been a huge waste of time and money.
However I do agree it is good that justice has been served but I don't get all this patriotism shit, it's kind of ignorant of the Americans to ignore the fact that Bin Laden has affected more than just US citizens.
