If you don't like it, stop watching!
This argument drives me fucking nuts.
Okay, some people seem to constantly winge and offer nothing constructive; fair enough...that IS annoying I'll admit.
But even when people offer intelligent and fair critique of the product, this argument gets wheeled out...fuck off.
Personally I've started watching WWE again recently after about a 5 year hiatus...and there is a lot of the product I don't like. But I keep watching, because I like wrestling, and in all honesty I LIKE the mix of sports and entertainment. I like long, technical battles full of suspense and ring psychology. But fuck it, I also like highspots and the odd bit of extreme, stupid wrestling full of blood and weapons.
I also enjoy promos and real 'characters'. And again, in all honesty I do enjoy stupid and childish angles and gimmicks and real light-hearted shit...
This is why I won't 'stop watching', even if I dislike a lot of the product, because stuff like ROH don't have the entertainment aspect I appreciate, and TNA just never, ever appealed to me when I watched it.
FWIW, my main complaint with WWE right now isn't the ratio of wrestling to entertainment...more that the entertainment segments are just pretty shitty. I would like more wrestling, but mainly I just want a more compelling, funny and enjoyable watch!
And no, I won't stop watching because I don't like it, because hell, I still like some stuff the WWE is doing, and I feel I have to keep faith because it is the only company that has the balance I (and a lot of other people I imagine) like.
I won't post in the RAW thread EVERY week, saying 'omg worst raw ever!!! i hate the wwe, i've given up', like a lot of people do. But if I do dislike something and feel I have something constructive to say about it, I will fucking say it, and I won't 'stop watching' or 'go watch tna/roh/etc instead'.
