And to the Be The Booker guys. Yes I know your really bored with your lives and need to do something to tire yourselves out and have fun but why not try to get on the indy scene pretty soon and try help in the creating process of your own stars your witnessing grow before your eyes and your own shows that make MONEY instead of doing it on here and using wrestlers Gabe Sapolsky, Vince McMahon, and a very shortlist of a few other people created. I just don't see how you can do that shit without getting the symptoms of taking 5 sleeping pills. The same effort you put into that you can be working for some local indy fed somewhere.

I have no problem with BTB-ing per se. I'm really passionate about wrestling and I like to keep my hand in with writing as much as possible. In fact, I'm far more interesting in the booking/promoting side of wrestling than I am in seeing who wins and loses. We all fantasy book in our heads anyway and, if I could be bothered to commit to having a BTB thread, I'd have one. It gives you a chance to identify gaps in your wrestling knowledge, on top of everything else.

Problem is, most of the BTB's on here are atrociously bad. They're either uncreative, unrealistic, tl;dr, or something. People mostly just use them as an excuse to put the WWE title on AJ Styles. I don't get the point of shit like that.

Also, I don't know what would possess anyone to write a hold-for-hold description of a made-up Monday Night Raw match. That just defeats the entire object of what you're doing and sucks the life out of your readers. The BTB section probably has the most nazi-ish mods too.

The BTB regulars are quite stupid as well. They're very rude to newcomers and won't say anything good about their efforts until they've "paid their dudes". Armchair Booking is Serious Business.

Yeah but, regardless, it's totally unrealistic and irrelevant to anything. People just push their favourite wrestlers as if they still half-believe that it matters who wins the belts (as opposed to telling logical stories and building upon the already existing characters). AJ Styles isn't exactly your classic blonde-haired, blue-eyed, heavyweight WWE champion. He doesn't really fit the role. Nor is he available to WWE, in the first place.

You often get WWE BTBs that completely move away from the reality of WWE, like having deathmatches or stuff. Which makes me wonder why people even want to write about the WWE.

Yeah, that's something I noticed. Same as the mods. Everyone's very precious about their own work and there's a definite etiquette in that section. If you don't write massive reviews of everyone that reviews you, you get treated like a parasite.

That's why I hate the idea of the concept of BE THE BOOKER. You can't get the personality and character delevelopment and satisfaction you can get out of watching a great wrestling product. You can imagine it all along in your head and keep wishing and wishing it existed but at the end of the day it doesn't and Vince McMahon's sports entertainment is all there is and ROH is the only alternative but still not the greatest wrestling product there ever was out there or exactly what fits what we like as individuals in a wrestling product.
