Apparently "is unattractive to me" now equals "are lesser human beings who should be hung or some shit". There was a memo.
Much like the "Anyone But England" World Cup t-shirts that have just been pulled from store shelves in the UK because the police stepped in and said it could "incite racial hatred" despite English not being, you know, a race, apparently the expression of a personal preference in any form is now racist, whether it refers to race or not. It is spectacularly stupid.
While calling him ugly in such terms is kind of mean, it's not racist. Sheamus is whiter than the average white man, and that was what was being addressed. He's not saying he finds all white people ugly, and even then it wouldn't be racist. You're not in control of what you're attracted to and there's no implication that things you aren't attracted to are worse; you just are attracted or aren't.
That said, while his skin colour and hair colour is a slightly unfortunate combination, I don't find Sheamus painful to look at or anything. I mean, I did in January, but that wasn't anything to do with his appearance.
