I'll explain why I look at it as being weak. You made a post about how there are a lot of retards in this discussion because they essentially disagree with you. You do not state what you necessarily disagree with, so no one really knows why they are retarded. Then you state that we should all watch some documentary and youtube two different people. Than Jupiter comes by and basically calls your post pointless (his opinion) because you didn't state anything about what your personal opinion is. Evolution than visits the Barnyard and says something about trufax. You than reenter the thread of Fun and acknowledge that your post was somewhat useless by saying something along the lines of not needing to post an actual opinion if other people have said your opinion. Than you finish by throwing the curveball question out there. Because he is a Catholic, he must think all other religions are wrong. Right? Because if he answers no, than he isn't really a 'true, full-faith Catholic' and that his opinions on the subject are null and void because he isn't even positive about his own faith. So how can he truly know anything about the subject if he isn't sure about his own position. If he answers Yes, than he comes across as some one who is close minded to other religions. You can than go on and on about how it is ridiculous for him to make one choice over the other (which you have seemed to share with me in a previous post.) It's a trick question. Not only that, but it didn't really have to do at all with his original post towards you about how the post you made was useless. The question was not only used so you can take advantage of either one of his two possible answers, but it also didn't really address what he was talking to you about originally. That is why I found your question to be both ploy and weak.
It isn't the equivalent because I think they're all wrong as opposed to him choosing one. I don't know for sure about any of it. I just plain don't know, I'm not going to base anything as fact.
So your choice is completely acceptable and all other choices or possibilities are completely wrong.
If you believe what you're saying to be true and absolute then I get what you're saying but when someone doesn't believe in anything for sure, it isn't a retarded question.
I'm going to type out what you said just so I can understand it.
If you believe what you're saying to be true and absolute then I get what you're saying
If he believes something is true, than you get what they're saying. So he possibly believes in Catholicism and that's cool with you. Didn’t you dislike that he was a Catholic. If not dislike, than at least look down on him for it.
but when someone doesn't believe in anything for sure, it isn't a retarded question.
However, if somebody doesn't take a stance or is unsure what to believe, than the question you asked is not 'silly nilly'.
