I am one that's stuck on the border of this topic, not taking a step towards either side of the line. Although i don't agree any person should have the right to end a life as its only just beginning. I cant deny their are some benefits for having abortion available. Their are those cases where people could have been raped or delivering could cause major health issues for the mother. In the case that someone just wasn't responsible and doesn't want to take care of the child or have to pay for it they they should lose that right.
Now how can you logically say one person from the next is doing that or not. We really cant and thats what i am stuck on. You cant take it from one, you have to take it from all and thats no good either as i said above about things beyond peoples control. For those who would like to chose abortion over caring for a child or working to support it i say you dug your hole, live in it. You can put the child up for adoption or look to family and friend for support in raising the child. Point is their are options available other then ending the child's life at such an early stage.
There's just something about killing a cell that doesn't bother me. It's hard to explain, but aborting a two week old fetus which has barely developed at all isn't the same as killing a newborn child.
It's not always a selfish decision. If a child is going to be born into a low income family living in a rough neighborhood filled with gang violence and things of that sort than abortion should be an option. Adoption isn't always a great way to raise a kid. Kids get shuffled through households all the time. It isn't fair to the child.
There should always be a choice. No matter what the subject, there should be options. That's all.

Seriously, that's what came to mind for me. Abortion should not be done just because life around your neighborhood is rough. With that logic, it means a poor family should kill their 3 year old kid just because he/she is living a hard life. Yet if someone does that, they'll get blasted and called a murderer. Just compare the situation of an unborn baby to that of a little newborn baby. How would killing the unborn baby make you feel and how would killing the newborn baby make you feel?
Another positive thing about abortions: Fetuses to continue stem cell research. They do AMAZING things with stem cells these days and I shutter to think how much farther along we would be if they didn't have to jump through all these hoops to get them and use them.

If their mother has enough time to get laid, she should have the time and dedication to raise her child correctly too. That goes for the father too, of course. If you aren't gonna take care of what you give birth to, use protection to prevent the poor child from suffering.
