IMO, killing a baby inside the womb is the same as waiting for it to be born and then killing it. I don't really see the difference. What makes a fetus more of a non person than a baby? What happens if the baby is aborted or dies in some other way day before it's going to be born? If someone punched the female's stomach and caused that, is that considered a homicide?
I'm NOT a believer of the Bible, by the way, I just think abortion is disturbing to think about when it comes to the rights of the fetus to live.
However I do not believe this debate will ever be solved. We can argue til we're dead, but unless someone forcibly takes control from either side and outlaws it or not, there won't be any clear solution.
This isn't black and white. My proposition is to reserve abortion as a last minute desperation option. No woman should be able to simply kill their unborn child just because they don't want it or can't handle it. Birth control should be used if you don't want to get pregnant. However, this is not always feasible, and there are cases where the woman gets unexpectedly pregnant, due to rape, broken condom, etc. In which case, I would say putting the child up for adoption is the best solution. There is little to no reason to do this. The woman is not left with an unwanted child, and the child gets to live on in some capacity...
If that is not possible, abortion is a last ditch option only. That's my view.
