Now, this rant is not intended to be racist, degrading, cruel, or downright a 'shot' at specific people, it's simply regarding the truth.

I've noticed (for a while now) that alot of races think they're god gift to the town, and thinking they actually own the fucking town. Now I know what you're going to say, "YOU'RE MISTAKEN MAN, YOU'RE JUST SEEING THINGS THE WRONG WAY". No I'm not. Example, at my old job (hungry jacks) when alot of the staff that were with me either got fired or quit, a whole world of Fijian Indians rampaged into the store, and the whole place turned into a whole different store. These people honestly have no intention to work as a group, or as a team, and only look out for themselves, and given any chance, they would rat out their own staff member (for things they did) to metaphorically suck on the tit of the 'owner' or the 'big manager' to move towards a better position in a fucked up store. I basically did not want to work in this environment, the whole store was going downhill imo, the service was terrible, and having someone at my age with the MOST experience is a fucking joke. I quit there (2 years ago), quicksmart.

Now, moving onto common courtesy, it's the small things that get to me, but they still matter. Take walking down the street, a normal everyday thing right? Not where I live. I'd basically have to walk down the street without trying to release some vulgar language towards some inconsiderate assholes who think I'm a fucking ghost and attempt to walk right through me. OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES AND LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING MAYBE? Seriously, the whole suburb, plus suburbs are going down the shitter because of the decrease of common courtesy and lack of manners, coinciding with the fact that it's not the same as it use to be.

Sydney is fucking polluted for the most part. I know the most of it would seem stupid, but I thought it'd be a change from the rubbish in this section.

Thats because you live out west. Over here on the coast people are considerate apart from the glassings and stealing and bashings

One of my teachers from school lives up there, tells me the surfs always great.

I would agree to a degree, I don't hate my area, just alot of people in it. Would like to live in the City.

Holding doors open for people? Waving when you let someone in to traffic? Holding the elevator? Thanking somebody for holding a door or elevator. Saying excuse me to walk past someone or sorry if you bump into someone, regardless of whether or not it's your fault? This shit's dead my friend, that's the sad truth. You definitely get some people who will do all of the above and are kinda, but for the most part, people are just all islands. No-one else is around them or lives in their world and no-one has respect for others.

It's pathetic but it's the direction we've headed in. I make a concious effort to do the things I listed before.

Damn, your place of work sounds like mine.

Everyone is gonna think I have a personal vendetta against Indian people (I don't)but when I first started working at my job, there were Indian people there but not nearly as much. Now, fuck, 1 out of 10 people is white/back/asian. The rest are Indian and I can honestly tell you (based on the ones I work with....and that's a big number of them...) that they are fucking lazy and don't give a shit about each other. They smile at each other and eat lunch with each other but as soon as they walk apart, they'll start talking shit about one another. They'll be speaking English with me when I am asking a question or telling them something work related and in the middle of talking, one will come by and they'll just start talking in their language when I'm not even done. They are some of the most backstabbing fucking people EVER. I'll be sitting at my desk and when someone makes a mistake, instead of talking to the person and just explaining how to correctly do a procedure (which is what I do because maybe the person wasn't taught the right way to do it), they start with the whiny voice and complain to our manager what they did wrong.

It's fucking stupid. You can't walk up to your co-worker and say "hey, you did this wrong, I'll show you how to do it?" It's really that hard? Guess so because they complain every 30 seconds about something and they don't want to work for their position, they just want it handed to them. My manager is from Trinidad and two of the Indian women who work in our department are dumb as fuck and he choose them over people who were smart and knew far more about what they were doing than these two idiots. One other one, he had the hots for (she's not even good looking....)and always talked to her in her other department (I also worked in that department at the time) and he obviously knew a position in our area was opening so he let her know way ahead of anyone else and he chose her. She just started working there like 2 months before and she got a higher position than people who were there for years.

My friend brought up to HR how rude it is that they always speak in their language and how they shouldn't during work time and HR said that there was really not much anyone could do about it. Just wow.

I feel and have felt your pain. Although, there was some action taken against them in where I use to work, they were demanded to not talk their own language while working or they'll be in trouble. Don't think it mattered though. I was close (very close) to getting into a fight with a older Fijian Indian at my work because he was an absolute asshole, and had no idea how the service works, and how long it takes to make something. He thought I should be fucking superman and make the products according to his time (rushing me in otherwords). And they are (for the most part) fucking idiotic and amazingly stupid. I ran (well I was partly the most experienced) the back area of the Hungry Jacks at the time, and these fucking Indians at the front would not leave me alone and they pushed me too hard. I was held off by a few co workers, but if I was let free, god knows what would've happened.

I'm glad I left there when those fucking Indians invested the store with their arrogant, 'know it all', dumbass people. The managers (that were same race as me) left shortly after I heard, and the whole place is basically run by them now.
