German beer isn't bad, but nothing special at all. And since when do britans drink german beer?

Just like the english beer the alchohol level is way too low.

If I'm going out I always drink Jupiler or Stella which are both about 5%. But the higher you get, the better. Westmalle (11%), Duvel (9%), Kasteelbier (Castle Beer) and Leffe (7%)are all heavenly.

I just hate how much more it costs for higher %. Makes it harder for me to try anything new.

Especially if it's import the price gets up fast, therefore we are lucky. Once I spilled some money for a Guinnes in the Irish Pub in Brussels. Never again will I pay so much for that beer, considering it was more expensive than some other belgian beers.

. I can't stand Guinness, both the crap we get here and the real stuff in Ireland...

It says a lot for the state of europe when the best thing most of these countries can produce is some kind of alcoholic drink, ie: Beer for belgium, whisky for scotland, wine for everyone, etc.

And we wonder why as a people we are fucked.
