When did you come to the UK Stinger... because if it was during any of the scares I can understand the papers... the time it took for me to get through Glasgow airport when the liquids were banned was crazy...
What nationality are you GP?

I was there in November 06. It's hard to explain these diiferent as it's more the everything goes. The things they do and the laws. I remember being in London and I wasn't the only one who thought that.
@ GP: I know Belgium sucks and nobody cares about it, but trust me in a few months Belgium is no more.

Well the whole Paper's thing makes sense... that was during the major lockdown they bassically had around here after 5 people nearly blew up five planes using explosive bottles...
and really... unless you give an example you're just blabbing.. and I can't think of any weird laws...

The beer is indeed shit; I'm currently in the US and to be fair the beer is shit here too.
I went to Munich a couple of years back; the beer there was awesome.

German beer is better, but the Belgian beer is by far the best in the world. And if you don't believe me look it up, because that's how it is. Stella Artois, Jupiler, Leffe, Duvel,... that list goes on and on.
I drunk 5-10 pints in London and still I felt nothing. The alcohol was bar to none.

Belgian beer rocks tbh.
In a bottle it's always Stella for me, and Leffe every once in a while if i'm in a beer garden or something like that.
As far as British beer goes, the stuff you can get in breweries (real ales) can be quite good but are pretty tough to find. I only know 1-2 places in the town i live that serve Marston's Smooth and the damn thing only gets made 'bout half an hour's drive from the city!
