Democracy though right?
I didn't vote, tbh. The only reason it might have had a yes vote was because the liks of the Socialist party wantd No, thanfully sense prevailed. No one even knew what it was about or did for the most part

Re: What's wrong with England?
Doesnt Belgium need to concentrate on making sure their own country doesnt break into two seperate countries, judging by what i have read and been told your country isnt exactly unified, you basically have two different countries under one banner, the french region and the dutch region.

It never was and never will. I hope we can get rid of the southern part soon. But that has nothing to do with the EU.

Do you know that every country is different. So everywhere you go, it's different then your own home country.

I've been in MANY countries, but England was something totally different. It starts with entering the country (all thoses papers)..

-They are driving on the left (Probably another tradition)
-They are the only ones supporting the US in Iraq war
-They have no passports
-They have a different time zone
-Almost everything they do has something do to with one of another tradition.
-I once heard you can't enter a pub if you are under a certain age. But I'm not sure if that's true..
-You can't get there without a boat or a train. (Okay you can't help that, but it sill sucks)
Something else that pissed me off in England: the beer sucks.
And how in earth was it possible that you couldn't qualify for the EC with such a team? Shame on you.

(for the record, i smell gimmick posting, but i'll reply seriously - yeah, right - just for fun)
Let's clear things up a bit:
Basically what you're saying is that you want Britain to do what everybody else in Europe is doing, right?
Now i'm not English (or British), i only go to Uni there, so i'm not just being defensive of the place because it's my home or anything, but:
In other words, assuming you practise what you preach, you'd rather do what everybody else is doing instead of maintaining your individuality as a nation, a culture and a country???
Oh wait, you're Belgian...
http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Belgium - see "The Truth About Belgium" specifically
(suprised nobody's posted this already to be honest... )
All cheap jokes about Belgium aside, i really mean that last paragraph before the joke. Why wouldn't you want to maintain your individuality as a nation and a culture?
Because of a "United Europe"?
EU has some advantages but being reduced into one big lump of "European Citizens" is one big drawback.
It's funny how "Globalization" has an inherently less-than-good meaning, but when the EU does it it's all fun and games

How was England totally different
and can you explain what you mean by traditions?
When did you come to the UK Stinger... because if it was during any of the scares I can understand the papers... the time it took for me to get through Glasgow airport when the liquids were banned was crazy...
What nationality are you GP?
