I don't see the need to bash the American version of The Office. A lot of british humor doesn't translate well to an american audience (unless it's Monty Python or Bean), and it might not be the same, but it's still one of the funniest shows we have.

True on the humour not translating well bit.
It works both ways some times too.
I seem to recall a British version of "Married with Children" that did horribly and was supposedly rubbish.
Conversely, the original was brilliant and Al Bundy is a God amongst men...

Since this is a thread about England, I want to say that I hate the way they talk. Such girly accents. Can't stand their accents. Annoying as hell. When they are on TV and start talking, I automatically change the channel. Just a really gay accent.

The British have a great accent. Passive doesn't make them girly. I can't stand watching fanatical Americans on TV, hence I prefer British news (BBC) to that stuff you call news (CNN, FOX).
3 Best accents in the world (imo) =
1. Australian (obviously  )
2. Scottish (F'n awesome. I'd love to go out with a Scottish gurrl!  )
3. South African (Srsly, they have a cool accent.)
3i. Jamaican (Epitomy of koolness....I couldn't leave them out  )
