But British comedy is actually funny. It doesn't rely on political issues to the extent that South Park does.
South Park is great. I like it. It's funny, but only so many times.
British Comedy can be watched over and over and over, because there are so many different meanings.
Also, British deliver comedy in a better way. They seem more passive, and genuinely want to make you laugh...not like American stand ups who run onto the stage and jump around or mutter or laugh like a banshee.

Moral Oral is only funny because it takes religion literally. That's not clever, that's just a lame attempt at social commentary.

Are you serious?! INTELLIGENT humor?
I like watching these shows but they are just for light entertainment over anything else.
Funny, but they don't make you think.
British comedy over everything else by a far MILE!
Infact theres this tv show on paramount comedy i think it is, where comedians from all over the world are competing and all coming together, it really shows you how different they all are.

Re: What's wrong with England?
Father Ted is my ultimate funny tv show ever.
"Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse" Series 3 Episode 6 is quite possibly my favourite episode!!!
The thing about Father Ted is that EVERY SINGLE EPISODE is hilarious. There isn't a single bad one.
The Mighty Boosh is pretty damn good! The TV show is good but the live show is spectacular. Fantastic comedy duo.
Apart from that i'm not really into recent comedy. I prefer the older stuff.
Nevermind the Buzzcocks has got to be one of the coolest shows.
Simon Amstell (To Jermaine Jackson) "any problems and you look to religion?...... i just use google!"
There was a Courtney Love comment that was just really really touchy. It came up on the screen "simon amstell is wrong!" when he was saying it. haha.

Re: What's wrong with England?
Father Ted is indeed the funniest tv show I have ever seen.
And the greatest Scot ever is without doubt the greatest manager ever - Bill Shankly. Why he isn't knighted is beyond me.

Fawlty Towers > Blackadder > The Office (Not the shitty American copy) > Any other comedy.

Re: What's wrong with England?
I disagree whole heartedly with HBK91, agree wholheartedly with Lashley.
Saying that my opinion of comedies isn't valued particularly well as I found Scary Movie 3 the funniest movie I've ever seen.

Re: What's wrong with England?
Father Ted is so fucking bad, I'll never understand why so many love it.
