I don't really care about the Mets and Yankees. The Yankees have to may not make the playoffs for the first time in years cuz I don't think the Rays and the Red Sox are going to start losing. The Mets are the most inconsistant team in the NL east.

I can honestly say I don't remember this vividly. All i remembered was Sojo getting the game winning hit. I didn't think the Mets would win, nobody did except Benny Agbiyani, plus as a heavily underrated underdog team getting to the world series isn' bad at all. As for the Yankees having 24 more world series rings, I would expect them to as they've been around for 60 years longer. The Red Sox, probably my second favorite team, where just terrible during the time of the curse. So congratulations for your 26 wins, but in 2008 (though an impressive accomplishment) none of that means anything. Thats the past, get over it and play for now. And about the 7 game lead with 17 left being worse than losing the 04 Alcs...thats just dumb. When the Mets lose a big playoff series while up 3-0, then you come talk to me.
