Actually, I saw them in Spring Training, and they were doing amazing down there when I saw them. At opening day, I said the Rays within 3 seasons were going to be a good team.

Well the Yankees can forget it if they meet the Angels in the playoffs.
Mets fans now know what its like to have an organization run by dopes. Thats why it took the Angels so long to be a winning team. Steve Phillips and Valentine must look like Rembrandt and Einstein compared to Minaya and the recently fired Willie Randolph.
Sometimes giving a GM(in any sport for that matter) a huge budget wont yield great results. Somehow I dont think Billy Beane would be as successful with the A's if he had a big payroll or if he was GM of the Yankees or Red Sox.

I really hope so. I like Kazmir, Crawford, Upton, Longoria, and Edwin Jackson. I am a big time Yankee fan, but what is going on with the Rays right now, is special.

Plus, add the two #1 picks from this year and last year and they have a bright future. The Rays might not win the East this year but they will win it within the next few years.
