Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I bought a new mobile/cell phone off eBay today and arranged to pick the phone up from the seller. My successful bid was $71 for the brand new phone. The seller emailed me back saying, and I quote "i wish $150 for this item, sorry but i m not gonna sell this for $71."
Fucking asshole! I sent an email back saying I bid $71 and was paying $71. That was a few hours ago and I haven't heard back. I have reported him and he is no longer a registered user and all his items have been taken down.
Sure, he'll probably make another account but I’ll keep looking for the same phone and if I find him again I'll report him again.
Another user bid for an X-Box at $311 and was told they seller wouldn't accept less than $350.
Now I'm back to square one. I didn't want to pay $180 for a brand new one from the shop so I'll keep trying on eBay. This is the only bad experience I've had thus far.
Anyone else got any eBay horror stories?

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
Bought new and sealed WWF DVD's, turned out to be second hand and re-sealed and badly done aswell. Wrestlemania X8 even had a receipt inside the case, behind the booklet. Gave him some bad feedback and he basically started to e-panic and then he returned the negative feedback but he's gotten more since so any semi-wise eBay buyer will know who caused the problem.
Sold them on a few days later for quite a nice profit.
There should be stronger laws on scammers and the feedback system which can easily be abused.

I think its a joke, how eBay Australia have made everyone pay by Paypal so they can get more profits also taken the priveliges of giving a negative feedback when your the seller yet the buyer (who might not pay) can give you a negative.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I bought tickets off of eBay a while back. A few weeks had passed and the tickets still hadn't arrived which was kind of odd because I only live three hours from the seller and I had paid for express delivery. Anyway, I sent the seller an e-mail asking him if he had mailed the tickets yet. Another week went by so, I filed a payment dispute through Pay Pal and two days later I recieved and email from the seller asking me why I filed a dispute and told me to cancel the dispute. I sent a response saying not until I recieve the tickets or until I get refund and what do you know my tickets are in my mail box four days later. It took a month and a half for me to get tickets from a seller who lived only three hours away even after I paid for express delivery.... Not long after I got a P/M from another buyer of eBay informing me he bought tickets for the same event and around the same time from the same seller and informed me that the guy hadn't sent him his tickets nor responded to any of his e-mails...
BTW I still gave the seller positive feedback

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
4 Years ago, my little brother was scammed of an iPod =( Sucks about your guy Rajah. Seriously, he is "allowed" to do that but only when he sets up the bidding he can make a "Must Exceed $$$$ Amount". I was scammed a few years ago buying a yugioh card for my cousins 6th birthday. It was a fake, he cried.
Some people just don't have a life i guess

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I bought a "replica belt" off Ebay for 100$ and i thought it was a great deal. Except the person never made it clear that it was plastic and a toy belt. So i sent the money (before i knew it was a toy) and he never sent the belt, even though i gave him 100$ for a 20$ toy. We kept asking him and asking him and he even said that he felt bad so he would send a DVD with it, but we never heard back and never got anything and then his account was gone. Fucking asshole.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
ive been screwed over for is that I bought all the Indiana Jones films for AU$10 and when I got them they were overseas bootlegs but the seller refunded me the money and said I could keep the DVD's so it worked out pretty wel.
There have also been other things when things have been recieved in pretty bad condition but most things get resolved.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I bought a Michael Vick jersey which had "monster" and all other nasty things spray painted and permanent-markered all over it.
I was pretty pissed off.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I have only ever bought something of ebay once and that was two tickets too a Smackdown/ECW house show in Glasgow and everything went fine. We actually went too pick the tickets up from the persons house and got them OK.
TBH though the reason i don't shop on ebay is because i am scared things like that happen. The internet can be dangerous if you don't work it right and i know its hard for ebay but i don't beleive there security laws are good enough!
