I have never had a problem.

I know a guy who purchased an X-box from ebay however and when it turned up it was just a cardboard box with an X drawn on it.

You can't set reserves on ebay au except for cars.

I've had 200+ transactions and several on Oztion and not a problem so far.

I remember getting scammed off of 26 dollars for some DBZ playstation games years back. Dude never sent them and by the looks of it, he did the same to other people. Long story short, I was devastated and a part of my soul died.

Someone I know bought what he thought was a brand new mobile phone, some Sony Ericsson shit and when it turned up was was huge. It was an inflatable phone and the seller had even blown it up for him.

If you watch The Real Hustle (UK) then they sell some manager of a company an office chair for £500 that wouldn't even hold a wrestling fugure.

Similar story to a mate of mine. Paid $400 for an iPod Mini (AU Currency) years ago. Came in late, it was just a picture of a ipod mini in a box

I've been lucky *so* far. Out of like 30-35 Ebay transactions, only 1 has been real shaky. The main thing I was afraid of was definitely tickets. Especially the ones where the event is only a day or so away. The seller takes FOREVER to e-mail or send the tickets sometimes. I guess they don't panic as much as I do.

One time though, I brought a Playstation One game. I paid around 20 bucks for it because it was rare and hard to find. That person already took my money from Paypal and I never received the game. I contacted her about it, and she said "I sent it out, you should be getting it shortly". About 2 weeks passed, and I was starting to get annoyed... so I sent another message letting that person know that I still have not received it yet.

She then said that the game was her friend's and that it was her friend that was supposed to send it to me. That's not how you should be doing things on Ebay. She said she'll contact her friend and ask what's up. Another week went by, and finally a response that said her friend sent it out.

It still took another 2 weeks until I finally got the game. So basically, I didn't get the item until 2 months later. Oh, did I mention that I needed this for a Christmas present? I won the auction around Thanksgiving and didn't get it until late January. I ended up giving that person positive feedback because I'm too damn nice.

But you gotta be careful... really careful.

the best people to buy off on ebay are those ebay shop things, usually have a bigger range then real shops and are usually a bit cheaper.

Bought a game for Dreamcast and never received it. Only lost $10. The guy had a ton of positives, then right after I got scammed, he started getting a bunch of negatives. Some of those negatives said that they did receive their game, but it was a bootleg, since it was so easy to copy Dreamcast games back in the day.

I think you deserved to be scammed if you were trying to get a DBZ game for the PS1 . All of them on the PS1 were awful lol.

And for anyone who can't tell the difference between serious and a joke, yes I am joking about him deserving to be scammed... (I had to put that in as some people are really stupid and will think I am being an areshole)

Yes! Oh Gawd, I have had a few.

First, picture this. I am from Ireland and last Christmas my younger brother wanted a Nintendo Wii but the problem was that around Christmas there was a shortage of them and it was near impossible to get one. So we got it from E-Bay. We didn't get it for a while and then called up the postal service and they had brought it to the wrong god damn adress. We went over and thank god we got it. Also if we didn't get it we were screwed as my younger brother believes in Santa Clause.

Secondly, I bought a Starview "The Box" for 140 Euro. Never got it. Lost 140 Euro.
