Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
Paypal is a fucking joke, my dad had an account on eBay and the seller scammed him by not sending so his ebay/paypal accounts were closed pending investigation and they have remained closed to this day.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I'm constantly buying and selling things off of ebay. It's almost become a side job for me I do it so much now and I've never had a bad experience there aside from the occasional nigerian scammer who you can see coming from a mile away.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I noticed one the other week. A "60GB PS3 Pal" Highest bid was £350 at the time and if you read the small print under the item description, the seller was only selling the empty box.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I have never had a problem really, but my mum has. She was selling some stuff a while back, and a women bought all 6 items, but refused to pay for them until the next month. Turns out, she had bought over £3000 worth of stuff in the last 2 days, and couldn't afford to pay my mum for her stuff until the next month when she got paid... My mum reported her for buying items she couldn't pay for, and was able to re-list them for free and eventually sold them to someone else who could pay for them.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
Only thing I've bought personally was the SmackDown/ECW tickets to see SmackDown at Newcastle, they were front row and I thought they were fake, luckily they weren't.
I don't use Ebay that much as you can very easily be scammed.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I got ripped off for an $8 VHS tape of Abdullah the Butcher like 6 years ago. I used a money order so it wasn't even worth the hassle of trying to do anything other than reporting the guy to eBay.
Some other douche left me negative feedback when I was selling my paintball guns saying "Item never sent, thank God I used Paypal!". Well I checked my email and paypal account everyday and I was never paid by him so why the hell would I send anything out?
Make sure you use paypal though really. As for the guy who said his dad was scammed and somehow his eBay and Paypal accounts got closed, I'm sure if you made enough of a ruckus on the phone with them the problem would be taken care of.
I also got a check from Paypal for a class action lawsuit for like $0.02 a few years ago. Good times.
Another tip, read the feedback EVERY time you bid. It can be like 99.5% and then the past 2 weeks everything is negative, that's the kind of thing you want to avoid.
I did get every episode of Salute Your Shorts for free once though. I won the auction, didn't pay yet (though I was going to), and then like 3 days later got the DVDs in the mail and positive feedback. Pretty cool.

Sounds like half the jobbers here after getting red rep
I bought a used phone off of ebay once, and the SIM card holder was broken. I refused to leave feedback and reported it to Ebay, he gave me $100.00 back and it only cost me 60 to fix. I then left him good feedback, even though he asked me to remove the dispute before paying. Which I obviously did not.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
I bought a maroon Kanye West hoodie from the US and it took nearly 3 weeks to arrive. When I got it, I opened it up and it was a blue billionaire boys club hoodie. I emailed the seller and told him he had sent the wrong item. But he responded saying there was no more Kanye hoodies and that I should be happy I got the billionaire boys club one because it was more expensive.
I bought 3 Volumes of The Best of 1PW for £5. Volumes 2 & 3 turned up about a month after I paid for them with a note saying "Volume 1 will be coming soon". Volume 1 never turned up.

Re: Any Bad eBay Experiences?
That's what bothers me from eBay sometimes, when people auction things and when it's over they don't agree because they expected to sell it for more... then why don't you PUT THE DAMN AMMOUNT YOU WANT FOR IT since the beginning ?
And I didn't had any bad experience from MercadoLibre (latin equivalent of eBay, powered by them also) I bought 3 cheap WWE shirts, the seller delayed a couple of days and he gave me a free wristband as an apologie so it wasn't that bad.

I hate it when people do that. And that is how i learned to be very careful on Ebay. I tried to buy a laptop once and i had the bid and i thought i was going to get it, so i started to look over the page more and at everything and it said at the bottom "screen is broken" so im like, fuck, now im going to get a laptop with a broken screen. Luckly somebody out bid me. Read before you bid people! Trust me.
