J_MeRCe is as right as he can be when he says that the section is dead, 'cause it is. Dead as an egyptian mummy. But it's not his fault, or any of the members fault.

I haven't seen CX and Thear on for a long time. People have been trying to make leagues, and the ideas have been nixed; both Merce's idea and the idea me and Skittles pitched got nixed on the spot. There are no tourneys or leagues, even though there could be.

Let me go on record saying that CX and Thear are some of the best, if not the VERY best GFXers we've had in the section. Their work is always great and they constantly make me drool all over my keyboard. But guys, really, what are you doing for the section? There's absolutely no action, and the most action we get is from the Grapics Show, which isn't even run by a mod.

In very short terms, as already said in the sticky in the GFX section: WE NEED NEW MODS. Mods who can actually waste time on getting the GFX forum to a much better level than it already is. Why not mod J_MeRCe? Or EGame? Or AWESOM-O? Jae Jae? MR619? Skittles? Hawt Es? Guys who are proficient in making GFX and have the ideas and the spirit needed?

CX and Thear, this isn't directed against you personally. I think you're awesome.

But if you're not gonna do anything about the GFX section dying when changes has been requested for weeks by the members using it, there's no point.

End of rant.

Nice layout, cut was nice and to the point.

Seriously though, I was going to go in there the other day and request a sig and whatnot but I don't even know whether I'd get any response nevermind a good banner. I'm never in there so probably don't know much about the activness of the mods but from what you're saying it doesn't sound like they should be. Most of the other sections have active mods and part of the reason they're successful may be because of that.

Drop EGame a PM, he enjoys those and almost always does the requests, all he requires is a few reputation points.

The mods are fine, we don't need a bullshit campaign to make certain members mods.

People get modded on merit, not because they have a few ideas and are friends with a handful of active members.

If you guys were to get a good idea going (for a league or what have you), I'm sure one of the super mods could help set it up if the GFX mods aren't around, no? (I'm being serious)

As for the old members, there's plenty of talent in there right now. Worry about keeping the ones you have first. But that's just an opinion from someone who doesn't visit the GFX section much
