Angel, would you like to be blind folded, gas masked and muffled, with your hands bound? And by this, I don't mean S&M.

BreakDown, if you understand that, you far along on the way on understanding me. i'm not a conservative. I'm a Libertarian. I think the government is full of morons. Corrupt and beuracratic (sp) morons. I want the size of gevernment reduced. I don't like W because he spends way too much money.

Secondly, America is not a democracy. It's a Constitutional Republic.

Thirdly, GP this is the concept of enemy combatants. That's what they are. They are the enemy. Would you rather they be blindfoled, gas masked, muffled, and bound, or would you rather have them shot in the head? I think it's very humane.

Okay, let's lock you up without any of your senses for days and see how you like it. If that's not inhumane, I don't know what is.

These aren't enemies with guns or weapons angel, they're men who've given up and become prisoners of war.

This is some hindsight. If you did that to an animal, it'd be cruelty to animals. It's cruelty to humans too. It's torture.

Humane? I'm sure you'd have a much different opinion if it were US troops being treated like that.

I remember when we saw images and videos of US Troops who had been caught and were being paraded on TV. There was uproar, it seems the same rules don't apply for the US when dealing with captured enemies because after all, those were unarmed POWs. It's bordering on torture.

Even showing the images of a captured Saddam Hussein being examined was conflicting, there's been a hell of a lot of bullshit propaganda in this war - if you can call it a war. More like the invasion of a country to me but whatever.

They can't just handcuff them? Like normal people?

Define normal. And I doubt they want them to know where they're being taken. If they didn't know where they're being taken, they couldn't lead them back if they released them.

If they knew where they were, they would have to keep them there until the whole thing was over. It's a security issue.

As long as those troops weren't hurt, I'd say it wouldn't have been that terrible. I'd preferred them to have caught as few of them as possible. And you have to admit, the American people are stupid. They only know the range of the moment and back then, they were so eager to get all emotional.

As too the conflicting of interest with showing Saddam, that priest or father or whatever he is, is actually quite notorious for his anti-american viewpoints.

How do you know they were kept like that for days. It was our position to do this only in the transfer to POW camps. They were not kept like that for days.

It's not inhumane. It's not torture. Neither physical, or psychological.

You people could actually look at this objectively for a change.

I don't see why such extreme measures had to be taken in a POW camp transfer. Not even the Nazis went to those extremes. They just chucked the POWs in the back of a truck and that was it.

And sent them off to a camp. Cram them into overcrowded trains. They were actually tortured. We knew where those camps were, but we didn't know what was happening there until after the war.m That's why we didn't go after them.

The point is, if they don't know where they went, we can release them since they can't lead them back. Otherwise, we'd have to keep them for a very long time.

Would you rather have that stuff happen to you and be there for 2 weeks, or know where you went and have to stay there for 2 years?
