How hard was it for a dad to tell his son the scores? Not hard at all, there was no need to refuse to give the scores except to stir shit and provoke a tantrum out of you. My mum used to do it to me all the time. She hated the fact I was so laid back, naturally placid when she is volatile by nature and used to pick and pick at me so I'd be volatile and bad tempered and make her look like a poor old mum doing it hard with a bitch of a daughter.

Only hearing one side to the story, to me, it seems unfair. But what exactly did you mouth off?

Us parents lose our tempers sometimes over nothing. I have done it and I have had to apologise to my son. Anyone who knows me here knows I hate to admit I'm wrong but I will do it if I have really done the wrong thing. Parents are not perfect, we know it. I bet your dad is feeling real guilty about giving you a beating but just isn't man enough to apologise for losing his temper with you.

Daz, you do realise Social Services take the kid away and not the parent? Sometimes life in Social Services can be worse than home. You just have to suck it all up and wait until you reach 16 and move out on your own.
